Trabuco Canyon, CA: Savannah- 20 y/o Paint Mare for Adoption

July 1, 2015 By ezarkos

Savannah is a 15.2 hand Paint Quarter horse mare. She was originally a broodmare but in 2012 had been found starving with her foal at her side. Her foal found a home and Hanaeleh rehabilitated Savannah and she was adopted out in 2013. Last month, her owner contacted Hanaeleh and said he could no longer keep her due to his medical issues, so she came back to Hanaeleh, and is once again looking for her forever home!

Savannah is a beautiful mare and is very, very sweet. She loves attention and carrots, especially! Savannah does have navicular and needs shoes with pads to keep her comfortable. She would be good for an intermediate rider who wanted to do light trail riding (1-2 miles) or light arena work (walk/trot).

Savannah’s Bio:

Breed: Paint/Quarter horse
Gender: Mare
Age: 20
Discipline: Light trail riding/Light arena work
Needs: An intermediate rider
Shoes: Shoes w/ pads
Medical: She is up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Feed: Savannah is fed orchard hay in the morning and alfalfa hay in the afternoon. She receives grain at night with a joint supplement.
Personality: Savannah is very sweet, but can sometimes be pushy if she think she can get away with being naughty, so she would need an intermediate rider. She is good as long as she knows the rules. Savannah ties, clips, and hops right into the trailer!

All of Hanaeleh’s horses have a $1,000 adoption fee and all new owners must sign a contract with Hanaeleh retaining first right-of-refusal.

If you are interested in Savannah, please fill out our horse inquiry form.
