Hanaeleh at the Celtic Fest!

July 21, 2025 By ezarkos

This weekend Hanaeleh had a booth out at the California Celtic Fest in Placentia! Even though it was hot out, they were able to find us a very lovely shady spot, and we had a number of people come up to talk with us about the rescue and our horses! It was a wonderful weekend filled with friends, tartans, kilts, and music!

Special thanks to Terry Casey from The Fenians who invited us- we enjoyed our time out there and hope to be back again next year!

Susan holding down the booth both Saturday and Sunday!
Michelle sporting a daring all-black outfit given that it was in the 90s this weekend!
On Sunday, Elizabeth, Molly and Leslie were out- Leslie sported not just white pants but also white shoes- a daring fashion choice on the grassy area.

April chose a more summery look!
Michelle found a young volunteer eager to help! (She offered to watch him for a minute).

Hanaeleh Gets a New Tractor and Ulysses Gets a Stall Upgrade

July 8, 2025 By ezarkos

Running a horse rescue takes a lot of work, and for the past 14 years we’ve managed mostly with good old-fashioned manpower — and occasionally a rented tractor when we really needed it. Unfortunately, renting heavy equipment like that is pricey, and winterizing the stalls always means a lot of … [Read More...]
