Hanaeleh was asked to help network Charlotte, a lovely 13-hand, 9 year-old chestnut pony. Charlotte is located in Sylmar, California, but was adopted out from a rescue in Arizona. The new adopter will be required to pay an adoption fee and sign an agreement with a first right-of-refusal with the adoption agency.
Charlotte has 180 days of professional training, and has been used for walk/trot lessons for 1st and 3rd graders in a lesson program. Most of her riding has been in the arena or around the ranch. Charlotte has also been ridden by a 10 year-old rider at the canter and has started to go over cross rails. She would still be considered green and would be best in a horse-savvy home that can continue her training.
She ponies well and has a lot of ground training experience, including exposure on roads and trails, traffic, trash trucks, etc. She is good with other horses and is currently turned out everyday with other horses. The owner says she is not spooky, but instead will stop and freeze when overwhelmed or worried, so she needs someone who is confident and patient. Charlotte is kind, gentle and careful, but can be a bit pushy with a novice handler.
Charlotte loves to be groomed, and has a beautiful double mane. She is barefoot and her vaccinations and teeth float were done in March.
A new owner will be required to sign an adoption agreement with a first right-of-refusal, so no flippers, please! All prospective adopters will be vetted to ensure Charlotte will be going to her forever home.
