We are trying to help a woman who rescued a four year-old Azteca mare. Maya was abandoned at a boarding facility, and the woman who rescued Maya was able to contact the owner to get him to relinquish ownership to her. The mare is 3/4 Andalusian, 1/4 Quarter Horse (her dam was an Azteca and the sire was Andalusian).
Maya is 4 years old, 14.3 hands. She is a roan. The woman currently has Maya starting in her training, and Maya is currently being saddled and longed. The owner knows that she is not qualified to care for a young horse, and does not have the financial ability to continue to keep Maya in training. She would need someone who is able to continue Maya’s training under saddle.
