Please see below for info on a newscast on America’s wild burros.
—————————————————–
Hello Friends,
Just a quick invitation to watch CBS Sunday morning this weekend to catch my nature short re: wild burros filmed in the Black Mts. of AZ -in one of their few remaining refuges in the US. 2-3 decades ago there were thousands of wild burros scattered across the badlands of the West and Southwest vs. less than a thousand today, on this vast landscape as they have been removed from our public rangelands (mostly by the BLM) to make room for ever more cattle and game animals like mountain sheep and deer in some cases, which share parts of their range. They’re now almost gone from areas where they abounded just several years ago including Red Rock Canyon near Las Vegas and from Death Valley CA where thousands lived until the end of the 20th century..
I hope you manage to catch them this Sunday on CBS Sunday Morning -starting 5 minutes from the end of the show e.g. at 10:25 AM -in NY & many eastern markets. If you’re not sure about your local air time please consult the attached file with air times in most markets.
You can also watch it on cbsnews.com <http://cbsnews.com/> /Sunday Morning. It is usually posted by mid- Sunday afternoon.
If you do catch it there -please register & leave a comment. It may help persuade CBS to have me produce a broadcast news report for them re: why our wild burros are disappearing so rapidly. Thanks and have a great summer ! Carl M |
