Whiskey

Hello everyone-

It is with great sadness that I have to report that Whiskey passed away last weekend, most likely of an aneurysm. He had a wonderful last month of his life, with incredible people around him and a lot of love. He did not know hunger when he was with his new people, and an entire neighborhood looking out for him.

Debbie K. was kind enough to send me pictures of his last day with us- you can see that he is happy, and was being loved on by her daughter.

Thank you to everyone who helped this poor guy- he had a lot of personality and we will definitely miss him!

Elizabeth, Attached are two photos of our Whiskey less than 24 hours before he left us. The one is of my daughter Mari hugging him. Mari made a special trip from Los Angeles to meet him and little did we know he would be gone the very next day. This is so bittersweet. I have to believe he totally understood he was loved and wanted but his abused body could not stay. I miss the day dreaming of him while at work and counting the hours until I got home and would go see him. Except for the weekend I went to my moms, a day did not go by that I did not get my Whiskey shot. I know Spike and Sharon are equally sad. Thank you for facilitating his rescue. He would have died alone and hungry if you had not gone for him. And thank you to all the Hanaeleh volunteers who were his champions. He touched so many hearts in the little time he was here with us.
