Tamahome is one of our permanent residents at Hanaeleh, and he continues to be his amazing, extroverted self. He is 22 years-old, and age has started to creep up on him a little. He had an episode in the summertime when he fell while Elizabeth was cantering him, (she was fine- he kept her safe and skinned his knee), so she doesn't go above a gait when riding him, although he still loves to run around at liberty. Update: Tamahome (August, 2020)
Tamahome is one of our permanent residents at Hanaeleh. He is cared for and loved by our president and founder, Elizabeth, who rescued him from a situation of neglect and abuse. He has been with her for the past 12 years, and is currently 21 years old. Tamahome is one of Hanaeleh's ambassadors- he loves greeting everyone and showing off his tricks for people. UPDATE: Tamahome
What can we say about our good-natured Tamahome, except to say that he is still awesome? OK, well, then- Tamahome is still awesome! He is currently living in a paddock with Sapphire and Ruby, and seems content with his small harem. He also gets to boss around the sheep and ignore the rooster, so he's a pretty busy boy. UPDATE: Tamahome
Tamahome has had a difficult few weeks; he had been living with Sapphire, who was recently adopted, and so he now doesn't have a buddy to hang with. He has been in a funk ever since, so we have been trying to help him rally his spirits by giving him extra attention and putting him out with Rio for some "buddy time."
