This past week marked the end of our interns 6-week time at Hanaeleh. They worked on grooming, leading, longeing, saddling, etc. as well as learning about conformation, medical info, etc. We ended the internship with a small sensory clinic, with the horses and interns working with various different obstacles. Happy Birthday Cricket! (and Quixote!)
Last year today, we picked up Cricket and Quixote from a nearby stable who was going to send the horses to auction to pay for the unpaid board fees. They were both emaciated, had little muscle tone, and were so bonded that it was dangerous to pull either one out of the stall because they would both freak out. Anaheim Hills, CA: 18 y/o Warmblood Gelding Needs Home
We received a call this week from an owner who is looking to rehome his 18 y/o Warmblood gelding. He has been offered money for this guy, but the owner is very choosy about getting his boy the right home, and is more concerned with finding an owner who will be a good fit.
