Last week we received a phone call about a baby lamb who had been attacked by a dog. His leg was cut and his tail was completely degloved. The owners were concerned because they were not in a position to continue to pay for his vet bills, plus they did not feel they would be able to clean and wrap his wounds on a daily basis. Food for Thought Grant
Hanaeleh joins other animal protection organizations across the United States, such as the Humane Society of the United States, Best Friends Animal Society, to adopt a compassionate food policy. Due to its formal adoption of a compassionate food policy, Hanaeleh has been awarded a food grant from the Food for Thought campaign. Sheep Get a Kong for Christmas
The sheep were very good this year (well, for sheep), and they really love rolling around Brutus' toy to get the pellets, so they asked for a similar toy for Christmas.
