Laguna Woods: Four Horses Need Homes!
UPDATE: We received an e-mail on Tuesday, June 23rd that Blaze, Baby and Moonstar have found a good home but the center is still looking for a good home for Brandi. She has DSLD, which means her suspensory tendons have essentially stretched out and she can no longer carry weight comfortably. She can still walk around and is healthy otherwise. Introducing Noelle: Rescued Christmas Horse!
Noelle She was tired and cold and everything hurt. The man came into the paddock and tried to grab her, but she ran away; everytime a man grabbed her he hurt her. The man just yelled at her and threw her and the other horse in the paddock a thin flake of old alfalfa. She didn't care how thin it was; she was so hungry she would eat anything. Lake Forest, CA: 15 y/o QH/Thoroughbred Mare Needs Home
Hanaeleh was recently contacted by Shauna who runs Rising Strides because she needs help rehoming one of her horses, Grace. Grace has had two minor seizures, and while she is still rideable, there is a risk that she could have a seizure while under saddle. The seizures do not prevent her from having a full life otherwise.
