Riverside, CA: Palomino Paint Mare (Pony) Needs Home!

We were contacted by an animal control officer who rescued a Palomino Paint Mare from the shelter. The pony had come in thin and needing vet and farrier care, which she provided. She renamed the pony Allison, and has made sure she has a good diet and is current on all of her medical and farrier care. UPDATE 2022: Venus

Venus is a little liver chestnut mare who was rescued from a now-defunct "rescue." She had gotten a splinter in her left eye at the rescue, which festered and created a great deal of scar tissue. The people at the rescue didn't bother to treat her eye, so a volunteer offered to foster her and was able to get Venus some veterinary care. Noelle was rescued by Hanaeleh in December 2019, and lived with her foster mom until April 2021, when she came to Hanaeleh. Noelle is a little Quarter horse who was probably used as a gymkhana horse, but unfortunately she was hurt very badly, and instead of giving her time to heal, her owner just gave her drugs and kept making her run, until she was so lame that even the drugs stopped working.
