Some of you may remember Sierra- the paint that lived next door to us. Her owner rescued Sierra from a bad situation, then, unfortunately, neglected her as well. She did not come out to see her for months at a time, leaving the stable caretaker to turn her out and groom her.
A therapeutic riding center took Sierra for a trial basis, but Sierra has not been ridden in almost a year, so she needs muscle and some TLC. She is very sweet, has a very nice canter, and is supposed to be a very good trail horse- but she needs someone who wants to take care of her! The poor little girl just has never had a good owner.
The riding center feels that Sierra is too much of a project for them right now, and is looking for a good home for her. They are not charging an adoption fee- they just want someone who will be a good home for her.
