Attached is a current photo of Raven. Raven came to us through a friend the night before she had puppies. Our friend told us she was a stray that was very pregnant and needed a dry and warm place to have her puppies. Since it was raining quite a bit that week and we couldn’t bare the thought of a mother dog having to have puppies out in the rain somewhere we were quick to offer our garage.
Our 6 year old just happened to check in on her the next morning before school and came running to get us with the news that the puppies were coming! She and Nicole along with some neighborhood friends helped her deliver 11 healthy pups! We had the fun (and sometimes messy) privilege of taking care of them until they were old enough to go to new homes and thankfully we were able to find good homes for all of them!
While we had never intended to own a big dog (we had previously been a Chihuahua family) we all have grown very attached to Raven. She has a very fun spirit and gentle temperament and quickly bonds with people. The challenge we are facing with her is that she is dog that needs and deserves plenty of love and attention and while we would love to be able to give that to her, we have a very busy house right now with four young children and being able to find the time to give her the love she deserves has not been possible for us. With this in mind, we have very reluctantly made the decision to look for a new home for Raven. The most important thing for us is that whoever adopts her would be someone with time and love to give a young and fun loving dog with room for her to play and roam around.
If someone you know is interested, and fits this description please let us know.
Thanks!
