So… the rain kind of killed the “weekly” updates on the horses. But, we’ll try again!
Charley- We are in contact with the people who are arranging his transport, so we will announce when he is going back to Tennessee! We will probably throw a going-away party for him. 🙂 Stay tuned!
Annie- She is getting fat! She was very good this weekend in the horse care clinic, and we’ve been walking her along the street. She goes through water no problem if you’re on the ground, but she greatly dislikes it going through it while under saddle. Go figure.
Rio- Very cute and very fuzzy.
Reno- He has forgiven his barber for his silly haircut as he is a 100 times more comfortable now. We will shave him completely in a few months.
Ella and Raphael- I am putting them together because I believe they share a brain. They are doing OK- the cold weather isn’t good for their arthritis, but getting out everyday has been very helpful for them!
Baron- He is doing well with Twilla and his weekly sensory lessons. He has been good under saddle the past week, too- we just make sure not to take our jackets off while on top of him!
Sapphire- She fell asleep while being groomed on Sunday! She is settling back in and we had a great few rides last week- I am hoping she will find a great home soon!
Gypsy- She’s doing great- I’ll be getting back on her in a few weeks when my hand feels a little stronger.
Nevada- He absolutely LOVES Taryn! Goodness! He even liked it when she braided his mane- the last time I tried that on my horse he wouldn’t speak to me for an hour!
Tamahome- Speaking of the devil, he has been his usual mix of demon and angel. He was good for the horse care clinic, but I also gave him a lot of carrots. We are waiting for the park to dry out again!
A big thank you to all of our volunteers this week- we had a very productive work day and a wonderful BBQ! Our next work day will be April 9th.
Also, please be sure to sign up for the parade on Saturday, March 26th. We need 20 people to come out- right now we have 8. 🙁 I’ll send out info this week on the parade!
Thanks to everyone for their help!
