Reminders first:
1. Work day Saturday, November 6th from 8:30-12pm.
2. Hanaeleh Halloween rescheduled to SUNDAY from 11am-1pm.
Horsie Update for last week:
Charley- Still looking good- his right front is getting better, too. He has the beginnings of his winter coat- he’s so cute! I didn’t put his cribbing collar on him right away on Sunday, and he didn’t even try to crib in his stall- what a good boy! 🙂
Gypsy- She is VERY fuzzy! 🙂 She’s doing well too- I was planning on doing some sircingle work with her this week, but my back went out, and so we’re going to do more work with the saddle instead. You are going to love her costume!
Reno- We had to buy the expensive pellets for him- OF COURSE. His heaves have been so much better, though- I haven’t heard him wheeze at all lately.
Raphael- His infection is healed, his hematoma is almost completely gone, and his knees are looking great, so (of course) he goes and pulls his shoulder in the arena on Sunday. *rolls eyes* I think he wants to stay here forever.
Ella- She is still stuck like glue to Raphael, but she is looking good- and she hasn’t cut herself like she did in the other paddock (knock on wood).
Rio- He was so cute- he showed a little girl how to groom at the horse care clinic on Sunday! He is also trying to color himself in by rolling in the mud and making all of his white spots brown!
Annie- She is doing so well- the bridle is no problem now, and she’s decided the saddle isn’t as bad as she feared. She is such a love- we really need to find her a home where she will be played with everyday!!
Sapphire- Beautiful as always. 🙂 She’s been putting the weight on that she lost, and is looking awesome.
Nevada- Still working on his hind feet, but they’re coming- not as consistent as the other horses, but he’ll pick up both now so we can clean them. 🙂
Tamahome- We rescheduled the Hanaeleh Halloween for a week as many people needed extra time to improve their costumes to try to beat Tama’s. Go ahead, I say- true greatness can never be beaten.
No, actually- Tama has been awesome this week- seriously, I think he is as responsive under saddle as he has ever been. Because he is doing so well, I am going to continue to be the only one to work with him for the next few weeks- I don’t know if being handled by so many people frustrated him, but the dramatic change is too much for me to ignore.
That’s all- remember that the Hanaeleh Halloween costume contest and BBQ has been changed to this SUNDAY from 11am-1pm.
See you all soon!
