Hi Saddleback Canyon Riders and Friends!

With less than three weeks to go for our big event, we are certainly headin’ for the home stretch!

We have received some amazing auction items, but we will need a big push from everyone to make our event an ‘Over the Top’ success!

Also, don’t forget to invite all of your family and friends so that we have lots of participants … as there will be truly great items to bid on!

We hope to see you at our upcoming Members Meeting at FRIENDS TAVERN IN DOVE CANYON on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd! … Come, hang with your friends and have a good time with us!

 …. And, it’s the perfect time and place to drop off your auction item!

At the bottom of this email is a list of the businesses and people that have already donated some really cool auction items. We’ve got about 20 donations so far, but at our last auction we had over 70, so we still have a ways to go to reach our goal!

Please email or call me if you have received a donated auction item.

If you haven’t already printed this out, I have attached a PDF of the ‘Letter of Intent’, and on the third page are two Tax Deductible 501(c)3 Receipts. Just cut the receipt page in half, fill out one receipt for the Donor, and fill out the other receipt for our ETI records! … It’s just that easy! …It will prove to be very useful to you in helping you procure great Auction Items.

I have also attached our Poster/Flyer for the Event … It’s great for posting around town and to use for Marketing to help obtain Auction Items.

In case you may have missed this in the last email, here are some FAQs re: our Charity Event:

What kind of Auction Items are you looking for?

Anything you feel would make for a cool Auction Item! Framed fine photography, paintings, sculptures, other artsy stuff, home furnishing items, jewelry, clothing, other fashion related items, sports items, sports memorabilia, horse tack/horse-related stuff, Farrier Services, Vet Services, Horse or Rider Training Services, restaurant certificates (we can include these in gift baskets or use them as raffle prizes), spa treatments,   

vacation rentals, etc.

We’re only limited by our imaginations … If you have a cool idea for an auction item, most likely, someone will want to bid on it.

If you, or any other individual or business wants to simply write a check as a donation, that’s fantastic as well! Simply have them write the check to ETI Foundation.

 

What can I tell businesses about a tax deductible receipt?

It’s important to let businesses know that their donations are fully tax deductible.

Just a quick note on how it will work: All proceeds will go to ‘ETI Foundation’ (a 501(c)3 Charity Organization) who will then equally disburse the proceeds to Hanaeleh and Bethany’s Gait (who are also 501(c)3 Charity Organizations).

 

What can I tell businesses (or individuals) about the recognition that they will receive for their donation?

All who donate will be duly and fully recognized at the event as well as subsequently on our web site!

We will MAKE SURE that everyone who donates to this cause gets the recognition that they deserve!

 

Where do I take the donated Auction Items? … When do I need to have them there? 

My home. We can receive stuff anytime (just email me or call so I know you’re coming!) … It would be nice to have all donations a week prior to the event …  (But we’ll be happy to receive any items right up to the night before)
