It is with great pleasure that I announce the launch of our anti-slaughter commercial, starting tonight and airing through the rest of the year. It will only show in southern California, on Animal Planet and Lifetime for right now.
The commercial is short, but we hope that it will at least get the attention of some individuals who are not aware of the issue of slaughter. Because we wanted to air it throughout the day, we needed to keep it short and could not make it graphic.
We are hoping to raise funds to air the commercial in other time slots and in other areas of the United States. You can view the commercial immediately on our site:
On the bottom of the page is a donate button- all monies that are donated through Paypal using that button are earmarked to fund the commercial in other venues. Depending upon the time slots and programs, it costs between $1,500-$5,000 for a successful commercial campaign. The amount we receive will determine where we will show the commercial next- our goal is to try to show the commercial in every state.
I have to give great thanks to the gentlemen at Change for Balance Productions (http://www.changeforbalance.com/) who produced the commercial for us at cost. This is the same group that produced the Equine Destiny documentary. We are very thankful for their continued contribution to the equine community and for their time and dedication, as we would not have been able to afford such an endeavor otherwise.
Please feel free to share the webpage to the commercial, and please continue to educate individuals about horse slaughter- the only way we are going to end it is by getting enough people aware of the issue so that Congress will have no choice but to listen.
